A visitor to one of my videos on an old channel (unknowingly) prompted me to write this post. She was wondering what she should be doing in order to receive what she was desiring.
My lower self thought, “Get out of your own way.” However, my Higher Self offered a response that made her feel better (aka more at ease).
I have often gotten in my own way. Actually, I have done so more times than I can count.
It is only human to want to always be in the driver’s seat; controlling everything, and sometimes, everyone. Yet, when we relinquish this control, life tends to become easier and the things we desire seem to come in the most magical ways.
Many people in the New Thought community speak of setting intentions (myself included). In doing so, we give our left-brain and our subconscious mind something to focus on while offering our right-brain the creative space to bring those intentions forward.
The following is an affirmation as suggested by acclaimed author, Catherine Ponder.
I intend that (insert your desire here) comes in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all.
Some desires/intentions might be…
- I receive an amazing gift. (e.g. coffee, tea, me [kidding])
- I am the CEO of my very successful business.
- I am a very successful author/doctor/teacher.
- I receive a wonderful promotion.
- I win a very large lottery jackpot.
You get the idea.
You can also switch it up by creating an Afformation®!
Why do I intend that (insert your desire here) comes in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all?
Intentions help us get out of our own way. Particularly, when we state them as above. They also help us remove any doubts we may have about our worthiness to receive because we are stating that our intentions manifest “in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way”.
You see, when we come from a place of higher creation, we set into motion the manifestation of our highest good in a way that feels über delicious.
So today, I encourage you to set a juicy intention then get out of your own way. And if you need to repeat your intention whenever you feel yourself jumping back behind the driver’s seat, go for it!
May your intention manifest in the most beautiful, joyful, graceful and yummylicious way imaginable!
