Blessing Life Even When It “Sucks”!

A couple of weeks ago, I pulled a copy of the Sedona Journal of Emergence from my bookcase and flipped to a “random” page. I did so to see what Spirit had to say to me in that moment.

My eyes landed on the quote below.

“There will still be those who come into your life with whom you do not resonate, and that will be so as long as you are in this physical vessel. If you can maintain an attitude of non-judgment and radiate love to the essence of each person, you will not have to experience a karmic dance or interaction with them. Bless them and allow them  to follow their paths while you follow your own.” ~ Archangel Michael through Ronna Herman, Sedona Journal of Emergence, February 2014, Page 43

I’ve lost count of the number of times I projected my own agenda on someone, which is why I have written this post to remind me of the importance of allowing others to walk their own path in their own way.

How many times have you, consciously or unconsciously, attempted to walk someone else’s journey for them?

How many times have you judged what they were doing because you felt your way was better for them?

I am not judging. Really, I am not.

As I re-read the quote, I also noticed a strong resonance with this part, “Bless them and allow them to follow their paths while you follow your own.”  It reminded me of a book I once owned, The Gentle Art of Blessing by Pierre Pradervand.

I’m reminded that blessing our day or another person doesn’t require that we subscribe to any particular religion.

We’re being prompted to share the blessing that we are to other life as well as accept this knowing within ourselves— without being burdened by dogma.

When we offer blessings to another, we’re giving to them what we seek for ourselves. And yes! We are 100% “qualified” to bless all life, all day, every day… as often as we like.

So…

I bless you.

I bless this day.

I bless the beautiful Earth.

I bless our incredible Universe.

Sunstone – said to bring “openness, benevolence, warmth, strength, mental clarity, and the willingness and ability to bestow blessings upon others.” [from The Book of Stones]

Hold a piece as you read the blessing from Pierre’s book, The Gentle Art of Blessing: A Simple Practice That Will Transform You and Your World(It’s too long to post in its entirety.)

I also encourage you to read it at a rhythm that will offer you the space to fully integrate the meaning behind the words.

Choose your thoughts wisely at this time, ensuring that they match your desires. Don’t put any energy into thinking about fears at all, lest you manifest them.”]
