I’m heading down under!
Ok, not really, but I love what their academia community is doing for our community.
Professor Robin Young has been making some pretty significant strides all in the name of autism. She developed a program that recognizes autism in one-year-olds.
In a recent interview with ABC News, she made the following statement:
She says her program – used in South Australia – works to get 12-month old children to engage in more social behaviour.
Professor Young feels that diagnoses at age 3 or 4 are too late for early intervention to be successful.
Imagine a world…
Where children are diagnosed within their first year of life.
Imagine a world…
Where parents don’t have to argue with pediatricians.
Imagine a world…
Where voices are heard and care is… readily available.
Imagine.
