In one of my blogs on my defunct really-woowoo site, I wrote about this topic. Only I came from the stance that there was no such thing as an Energy Vampire.
Well, thanks to my insatiable thirst for reading, I have since learned of a rather interesting and magickal community who INDEED actively practice… the dark arte of sucking the blood from others.
Blood… as in another person’s energy; life-force.
My fellow humans never cease to amaze me!
It would seem that the deeper I travel down this rabbit hole, the more expansive my thinking becomes.
And the deeper I travel, the more I see how small-minded the teachings of my family and other “well-meaning folk” were.
Thanks to those teachings, and Bela Lugosi, I used to be afraid of the dark… as a child. Oh, and as a teenager. I also watched The Exorcist by myself.
Like a D…F!
Nowadays, I find peace and comfort in the darkness.
Winter is my favorite time of the year. I feel comforted and peaceful in the same way a swaddled babe feels in its mother’s comforting arms.
Safe.
Anyhoo, unlike the vamps from the big, and little, screens, these magickal folk practice during the night… and the day.
WHAT?!? (#kidding) {insert creepy organ music here)
The Living Vampyre no longer hides in shadow.
With a simple touch…
A gaze…
Focused intention…
Or a simple word and… they covet your precious life-force.
Oh, the humanity of it all! 😉
They suck you dry. Leaving you spent… like you ain’t nevah had a days sleep IN YOUR LIFE!
Okay. I literally just had a vision of Bette Midler in the movie, Hocus Pocus, where she was sucking the life-force from the teenage virgin who lit the Black Flame Candle! Too funny!
I digress…
When it comes to the wacky and wonderful Matrix we currently call our physical “home”… you gotta see everything for what it is, which is “illusion, illusion illusion”!
Now, I am not discounting the practices of this magickal community, I just love exploring both sides of a coin. Nah! Both sides of a hundred dollar bill! (#Ballin)
In this deliciously malleable realm… life is what it is.
A hologram.
At the end of day, being more mindful of our space and the people we choose to have within it (or even along the “borders” of it) is not a bad daily practice ’cause, these days, everyone can be more mindful!
